MyTask — Terms of Use

By downloading or using MyTask you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
MyTask is a single-person organiser with tasks, a calendar, shopping lists and checklists, and notes. It is provided "as is"; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change over time.
2. Price, ads and accounts
- MyTask is free to download and shows an ad at the bottom of the screen. You can remove ads with a one-time payment (not a subscription); payment is handled by Google Play and refunds follow Google Play's rules.
- You do not need an account or to sign in to use the app. If you like you can sign in with Google to try MyTask Pro free for 7 days; each Google account can use the trial once. When it ends the Pro features (widgets, ad-free use) switch off; your data is not deleted.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the app to:
- Carry out unlawful activity or store content that infringes others' rights.
- Reverse-engineer, copy without permission, or distribute modified versions of the app.
4. Your content
The tasks, lists and notes you enter belong to you and are stored only on your phone. The developer has no access to this content and claims no ownership over it.
When you share a list or send a backup file somewhere, you decide who receives the content and you are responsible for that.
5. Data and backups
MyTask has no server; the only copy of your data is on your phone. If your phone is lost, broken or reset, or you uninstall the app, your data cannot be recovered unless you have a backup.
For anything important, use back up in Settings regularly and keep the file somewhere other than your phone (for example Google Drive).
6. Reminders
Reminder notifications are scheduled on your phone by Android's alarm system. Battery saving, silent mode, a disabled notification permission or restrictions added by your phone's manufacturer can delay or prevent a reminder. Do not rely on MyTask as your only reminder for important appointments, medication or legal deadlines.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided free of charge and "as is". We are not liable for indirect damages such as data loss, missed reminders or lost profit.
Nothing here limits consumer rights that the law says cannot be waived.
8. Stopping use
You can stop using the app at any time. Delete all data in Settings, or uninstalling the app, removes the data from your phone; details are in the privacy policy.
9. Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top is updated, and significant changes are announced inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, with the courts of Istanbul having jurisdiction. As a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protective rules of your own country.
